A Sweet Block....

I don't know if it is the torment of knowing that spring is right around the corner while we have snow on the ground, but I am definitely in the sweet little spring -y block mood....

I wanted to test out this block to see if it is something I would consider working into a quilt....

The entire block measures only 9 inches....so the arcs and kaleido's on this baby are teeny.  I have very small hands but I felt like I was working with oven mitts on....these pieces are so delicate.

I would like to try this again with a true green (love the green bandana fabric - Katie Jump Rope - oh how I wish she would re-release that line)  so I will need to look into something that matches the picture in my brain...

Added a little yo-yo for a touch of whimsy!  I kind of like it!
Have a great weekend!

  2. So intricate- that would be a lovely quilt but it would sure take more patience than I have at the moment. Can't wait to see what you do with it. :)
