Ready for Quilting....

Tick!
I can tick one more quilt top off my list!
That feels so good!

This Anthropologie- inspired quilt is a baby quilt....so I added a wide top and bottom border of spots....to give it a bit more youthful look....

I love how all the triangles seem to sparkle against the shot cotton....

While I love the texture and rich color of shot cotton, I must confess I found it a stinker to work with.  At least with triangles....and the bias edges.  May go with Kona the next time :)
This one will be hand quilted.....I am still deciding whether to use perle cotton or wool Aurifil...hmmmm....
Hope you had a wonderful Thursday!

My fave fave fave Mary ...

Yes, those shot cottons are a b to work with ...

I used your triangle tute using linen as my solid and that was a b to sew too! Blimey, never had so much bendy bias action! ... but my little row of triangles was lovely ...

Yes, this quilt is magnificent Mary!

Mary, this is just the cutest quilt! I agree with the shot cotton--kind of fiddly, huh? That is what I'm finding with the Farmer's Wife blocks. When I was done with each block I gave it a shot of Mary Ellen's Best Press, but that made the shot cottons kind of crinkly. :(

Anyway, LOVE this quilt--and the fun polka dot border.

It looks wonderful with the spotted borders! And I especially love the variation in the shot cotton colours- blue, aqau coral, lime!! Yummy! BTW I used Aurifil wool on a recent hand quilting project and I LOVED it! It cuts through the fabric beautifully!

Mary this is one incredible quilt!! The spotty border bits are the cherry on the cake! Im glad you said the shot cotton is a pain to work with, I've found that but just thought it was me. I'm curious about wool aurifl , I'm going to keep my eye out for some, it sounds fun!
