I have managed another Rose and Star block!!!
Yay!
Rose and Star is the best for bedside stitching :)
And I ordered a couple of books....
only one has arrived so far. This is a 'new to me' book. It is actually in it's second edition and not new at all. A friend from the shoppe {Stephanie} brought it into the shoppe one day and I knew it was a book I needed for my quilt book collection.
I have a quilt that needs it's binding so hopefully soon I will have a bit more to show :)
Hope you are enjoying a wonderful Spring day in your neck of the woods!
Happy Wednesday!
mary

ReplyDeleteLove the rose star! Happy spring Wednesday to you to Mary :) xx
ReplyDeleteI love this book. In my first quilting class, we made a sampler from this book. Then we went on to Quilts, Quilts and More Quilts. I still refer to both for basics.
ReplyDeleteLove your cute handwork too!

Looks like a fun book. And I love your happy block. Such great color and fabric choices.
ReplyDeleteYour block is great--such a cute center too! I have the first version of the book (see how old I am), and loved it--it's a good one!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are wonderful! That book was the go to book around the time when I started quilting.I have the first edition as well, it was the one available at my first class.
ReplyDeleteI have used that book for years! Love it! Guess I have to look for the other book mentioned here in your comments. I used it first in a class also where we made a sampler quilt. I refer back to it a lot.
