The Big Zig!!!

It is quilted and the binding has been stitched!
I am calling this one the Big Zig!
I have done a couple of other Zig Zag Quilts over the past several years...
here, here, and here

Here are the details...
The colors I chose for the Big Zig are: Snow for the solid areas, aqua/blue, grey, and orange.
I have used about 30 different fabrics.

Each half square triangle is about 5.5 inches square.
There are 100 half square triangles.

The overall size is about 56 inches X 56 inches.
It is hand quilted with perle cotton {Valdani} - in red/orange, grey, orange.
100% cotton Batting.
The back is an aqua tiny gingham.

The binding is Flea Market Fancy.
Hand stitched on the back.

Yay!  One more to check off my list!
Cheers!

I have been collecting fabrics in the same colors to make a zig zag quilt. Seeing this has inspired me to get going.

I am very interested in your Perle cotton. I use a lot in hand quilting but have never heard of valdani. I use Anchor Perle cotton so I am wondering how valdani differs?

It looks like such a soft and cuddly quilt! Of course the hand quilting is so perfect!
You know, it could be the summer cousin to the one I made a couple of years ago!

a beauty!!! I have already expressed my love for this one but now that love grows.. perfect choice for the backing.. love the clean simplicity of the blue gingham! and the quilting.. just right ;)
I really must make one.. I've been thinking of the colors I want to use.. your colors are so good but I don't want to copy. I'm thinking about red pink and kelly green or red, pink and golden rod..

Gorgeous all of the zigs! I just want all your scraps lady - your stash of fabrics is amazing but I doubt even then I could put fabrics together as well as you!
