I really want to start a 'small' hand sewing project and have been toying with hexagons in my mind....just haven't really gotten started....yours are beautiful!!!!
since this is your "life" quilt and you are getting it done so quickly, you'll have to think of another quilt to be your once in a lifetime quilt. I'm still pondering my own :life" quilt and it does involve hexies too!
Love all 244 of them - very pretty colours, so fresh and summery. I need to remind myself just how big your hexies are to get an idea of scale here! Keep up the good work!
You, my dear, are amazing! I have been sewing hexagons together for almost a year now and am no further along than you are in just a few weeks. I think I must be low on gasoline or something!! Your flower garden is awesome!!
Hi Mary. :o) I have really enjoyed watching this lovely quilt evolve! You are influencing me to get my little hexagons back out. Now that my crochet blanket is done, I will need something to keep my fingers busy in the evenings. :o) Have a lovely week. Sincerely, Trish
Amazing to have so much done so quickly! And I love the patterns. They are so beautiful--fresh and in delightful pairings! I can't wait to see how it all comes together.
Beautiful blocks, Mary. I agree about gingham and dots - and the little flower print you added, too. They all play together so nicely!

ReplyDeleteHi Mary I really do appreciate your comments, especially coming from one so talented as yourself!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see you make the big hex quilt like mine, I warn you though it has a strange addictive quality.
Towards the end you sort of go off it and want it finished...then when you're nearly done, you want to make another!!
