Working on the Border....

The New York Beauty may soon get a border!  I have made a decision {pretty sure anyway}....
To mimic the pointy parts of the block....I want a pointy border....


I drafted this pattern so that it would fit between two {NYB} quarter blocks on each end....


So it is a 10 inch finished border...


And will be flanked by quarter blocks....at least that is the plan....


Still working on the hexagons....if you haven't tried them yet....give them a try! They are cute little stinkers :)


The weekend is almost here!!!!  YAY!  I get to go to work....which for me is too much fun!

    I LOVE YOUR NYB! It is soooo pretty! I can't wait to see what it looks like when it is done! I have a whole pile of hexagons that are already cut. I just need to jump in! I will, just after I finish the quilt I am starting this afternoon!

    The pointy border is going to be perfect for those lovely NYB blocks. That's sort of what I'd imagined too! it's going to be a fabulous quilt!

    I think the border is going to look fabulous especially with the corner squares!

    Your pointy border is too perfect - the colours, the dotty fabric, the razor sharp points. It's what your NYB deserves! Great choices - I love it!
