Who doesn't love a traditional block with a quirky twist? I adore the Shoo-fly block....every little thing about it.
I love the simplicity of the block...and then there is the name....Shoo-fly....how fabulous is that?
But a Shoo-fly block done with abandon is just the bees knees!
Whew! It has been a busy week....this little bit of block fun was much needed!
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Oh Yes, Sometimes wonky is the way to go
Wonky as the bees knees for sure!
Love the wonky look.
Fabulous colours! And I saw your mention on the Sew to Speak blog! Well done you!!! You deserve it!
Mary that is some serious colour eye candy - love those zingy colours! Is it red-pink and orange all the way or are you adding other colours too! Wonky wonderfulness!
oh yes mary, this is way cool. I think I'm going to have to try it with my echinos and some linen ... yummity yum ... thank you :)
Your shoo-flys are brillant! I too have been enchanted with the shoo-fly lately, they are simple but really nice. The orange background is also wonderful.
Great color combo in those blocks...you rock

Those are pretty darn adorable!
Cutie Patooties! I just got some AMH kisses and hugs fabric....is that Habitat, too? Shoofly and Hole in The Barn Door are favs of mine as well!
First I should say Iove the boldness of the orange (which I haven't had the nerve to step past a neutral shade of white), but the wonky triangles are so cool!! I love the idea. What is the pink fabric with orange & white circles? very cool ;-)
Definitely agreeing with the title here! I love, love how this block looks wonky and also the wonky sashing in your more recent post. Well done!
