it was just me not paying attention...

Maybe I was a bit distracted by a fantastic paper foundation pattern I found on Pinterest.

I have long loved the vintage Scotty Dog design...

    

and was so excited to find one on Pinterest!

This one finishes as a 6 inch block....how cute!

Not Alone...

So glad I am not alone in changing the original plan. I loved Jan's comment that her last quilt started out as a table runner and became a quilt.  I have had a few ideas that started as a quilt and became a placemat, or even a pot holder.  Actually, I usually don't plan too much....I tend to pull a bunch of fabrics and then edit from there.  

Because I don't have a dedicated sewing room, my organization is lacking.  My fabrics are in containers in a closet...so I don't have easy access to all of my fabrics.  But I do usually change my mind before I add an entire border...Oh well!!!

I am liking the new choice....much more neutral and less distracting.

  

I have added two more borders...

Still adding borders...but had a bit of a set-back...with a border fabric that just didn't work...

hopefully today I can add another {more neutral} border and these sweet little corner blocks...

A Girl From Kansas....

A sweet sewing friend will be moving....

she will be greatly missed by our little sewing group....

  

her heart belongs in Kansas....and, although, that is not where she is moving...she is getting closer.  That is a good thing :)

Hopefully, this little pouch will keep her sewing bits and bobs safe and remind her that her sewing group is waiting for her return!

Still working with the old computer and it is a pain in the bum!
