My contribution for this month's Mid-Century Modern Bee is getting done right in the Nick of Time!
Carla has her eyes set on a very fun quilt for her month
So our challenge was to do a block with this as our inspiration...
Since this month of April has been full of fun and flowers....
I thought a basket of flowers would suit Carla....
the base of the basket is pieced and the handle machine appliqued...the flowers were hand appliqued with teeny yo-yo's for the center....
it is a 12" block and the basket is a bit off center to add a touch of whimsy!
While I stitched today I was surrounded by a few of the flowers which decorated the pews in the church. Small bunches of tulips hung from grey striped ribbons on the ends of the pews....so sweet!
The newlyweds are in Ireland! Touring, visiting family, and having a blast!
