It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like......

I am not a big fan of Christmas songs in May...but I am working on a Christmas project in May...

Hoping that the visions in my head turn out to be just as magical in fabric....

Do you make presents for Christmas or Holidays?  And when do you start your little elf- like activites?

  2. A sweet little Christmas village being built? How cute! I sometimes make Christmas gifts, but I'm a bit of a 'quick, what can I make for..?"!!!!

  3. I like the idea of starting early, and usually have my presents sorted by December but there's usually a last minute project of two. I love that groovy tree and spotty houses!!

  4. This looks very festive so far!

Last year my gift making was a disaster, so I have vowed to start early this year...perhaps Christmas in July?

  5. I always think I am going to get things started early, but I rarely do. Last year, I made four quilts, and I actually started them early enough to get them all finished on time. This year, I don't know what I am making for people. I should start thinking about that soon.

  6. Love the sneak peek and can't wait to see more.

If I make handmade gifts for the holiday season, I start really early. Deadlines just seem to suck the fun out of things. I have enough stress at work and don't need it elsewhere!

  7. This will be my first year making Christmas quilts! I'll probably start by the beginning of July and (hopefully) have them all done by October! I'm thinking I have 4-5 quilts, two purses, 4 pairs of Christmas jammies, and probably a couple headbands.

I just realized how much stuff that is =/. Lol, it'll be a busy summer!

  11. I do make things for Christmas gifts but not usually from fabric. I'm more likely to give homemade cookies! I haven't made a quilt specific to Christmas because I've made red and green reproductions. Your little sketch, though, looks really cute!

  12. My issue with starting early is that if it turns out good, I'm struggling to keep myself from giving it to them early.

  13. If you get a gift from me, they are mostly hand made. I feel it is really from my heart. If I run out of time or the recipient wants something other than that, is usually when I buy. You are such a smarty starting right now.
